Greetings from PPGBOT - UnB

The Post-Graduate course in Botany at UnB (PPGBOT/UnB) is new, created in 2019, but with the tradition and infrastructure of a previous course, started in 1993, which has been reformulated and improved. It comprises a Master's and Doctorate, lasting two and four years respectively.

It focuses on studies of plants, especially those native to the Cerrado, as well as Amazonian and cultivated species. We value our flora!

The main aim of the course is to train excellent botanists, with a general and interdisciplinary basis in taxonomy, anatomy, plant physiology and plant ecology, to work in research and teaching institutions in the biological, agricultural, forestry, biotechnological and environmental fields.

Several professors and researchers from UnB and its partners UFG and EMBRAPA are accredited to advise on the course.

The PPGBOT/UnB is recognized and authorized by CAPES.
