WELCOME TO PPGBOT - UnB

The Postgraduate Course in Botany at UnB (PPGBOT/UnB) is new, created in 2019, but with the tradition and infrastructure of a previous course, started in 1993, which was reformulated and improved. It covers the Master and Doctorate, lasting two and four years, respectively.

It focuses on studies on plants, notably those native to the Cerrado, as well as species from the Amazon and cultivated. We value our flora!

The main objective of the course is to train excellent botanical professionals, with a general and interdisciplinary base in taxonomy, anatomy, plant physiology and plant ecology, who work in research and teaching institutions in the biological, agrarian, forest, biotechnological, and environmental sciences.

Several professors and researchers from UnB, UFG, and EMBRAPA are accredited as advisors in the course.

The PPGBOT/UnB is recognized and authorized by CAPES.
